3rd International Anti Nuclear Festival of RhodesThe Mediterranean Anti Nuclear Watch is a Non-Governmental, Non-Profit Organization founded 4 years ago in Rhodes, Greece, with prime aim the advancement of a Nuclear-Free Mediterranean Region. Through its many activities, MANW has worked, in regional and local level, to establish nuclear disarmament as a call of citizens, along with promoting power preservation and the use of renewable source of energy as alternatives to the current polluting energy consumption habits or the nightmarish scenario of nuclear power spreading more, with all the terrible consequences of such a spread.
The Mediterranean Anti Nuclear Watch hosts its 3rd International Anti Nuclear of Rhodes on September 21-27, 2009, in Rhodes, Greece, under the general title "We want a World Free of Nuclear Weapons and Weapons of Mass Destruction". Our era is characterized by geopolitical instability and the spread of radioactive material is favored in such an international environment. We are working towards the motivation of people from Greece and all over the world to demand from the Governments to accelerate our hard journey to an absolute and effective nuclear disarmament.
