International Symposium «We have the right to live in a nuclear-free world», Rhodes, May 2006
On May 12-13, 2006, within the 1st International Anti Nuclear Festival of Rhodes, at the conference hall of the University of the Aegean, the International Symposium «We have the right to live in a nuclear-free world», Rhodes, May 2006 was held. The symposium attended scientists, journalists and anti-nuclear activists from Greece, Cyprus, Ukraine, Austria, USA and France.
Most significant outcome of the Symposium was the commitment to return to Rhodes and sign a protocol of cooperation among the anti-nuclear NGOs for the transformation of the wider area of the Mediterranean Sea and Middle East to a Nuclear-free zone.
